Optical probes with low bandwidth
The optical probes (O/E) of the Tektronix P6700 series convert optical signals into electrical signals. This enables convenient analysis on oscilloscopes from the Tektronix DPO7000 and DPO/MSO7000 series with corresponding adapters as well as on any other Tektronix oscilloscope with a TekProbe interface. It can also be analysed in conjunction with the 1103 TekProbe power supply unit. The P6700 series O/E converters are ideal for characterising optical sources in the development, manufacture or maintenance of optical communication systems and devices.
The compact and handy P6701B and P6703B optical-to-electrical analogue converters provide a precise interface for optical pulse shape measurements. Thanks to their high gain, wide dynamic range and stable output offset, these O/E converters are ideal for eye diagram analysis and absorbance measurements.
The optical input of the P6701B and P6703B models is a one metre long 62.5 µm multimode optical fibre with FC/PC connection. Thanks to the standard range of hybrid fibre optic mating sleeves, these O/E converters can be adapted to the various industrial connector standards.
The TekProbe interface provides power, auto scaling, auto termination and correct units (microwatts) when used with Tektronix DPO7000 or DPO/MSO70000 series oscilloscopes and earlier TekProbe-equipped models.
