SCB B – Intelligent surge protection for EA power supplies
The SCB B series was specifically developed for use with EA-10000 series programmable DC power supplies. As an intelligent protection module, the SCB B continuously monitors the DC voltage at the device output and reliably protects the entire system from critical overvoltage situations.
In the event of a fault, the SCB B intervenes immediately: If the preset voltage threshold is exceeded, the Share bus is deliberately short-circuited, causing all connected devices to immediately shut down their DC outputs. The integrated OVP (Over Voltage Protection) signal also activates all other SCB B modules in the network, thus ensuring fast, system-wide protection.
Thanks to its compact design, easy integration into existing I/O systems, and clear status indication via LEDs, the SCB B is the ideal addition to any demanding test and laboratory environment. Especially in serial or combined series/parallel circuits, it ensures increased operational reliability and reliably protects both devices and test objects.
